MileJar Terms of Use

MileJar records the shifts you choose to record, keeps your mileage log and expense records, and generates reports from them. That's the product: a record-keeping tool.

Section Blue LLC provides mileage tracking and report generation tools for informational and administrative purposes only. We are not certified public accountants (CPAs), tax attorneys, or financial advisors.

No Tax Advice: The reports, calculations, and data generated by this platform do not constitute formal tax, legal, or financial advice. Tax laws regarding vehicle deductions are complex and change frequently.

User Responsibility: You are solely responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and classification of all tracked trips and generated reports. Section Blue LLC does not guarantee that the IRS or any other tax authority will accept these reports for deductions.

Consult a Professional: You must consult a licensed tax professional or CPA to verify your data, confirm deduction eligibility, and ensure compliance with current tax regulations before filing any returns.

Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by law, Section Blue LLC shall not be liable for any financial losses, tax penalties, audits, or damages resulting from your use of or reliance on our software and reports.

Your shifts, routes, expenses, and receipts are stored on your device and in your own iCloud account. We do not have access to or store your location data. If you stop subscribing, everything already recorded stays available to you in the app.

Recording new shifts requires a MileJar Premium subscription, purchased through Apple and billed to your Apple account. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled in your Apple subscription settings at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Prices are shown in the app before you buy. Your existing records and reports remain available without an active subscription.

MileJar measures distance using your phone's GPS and motion sensors. Like all GPS-based measurement, results can be affected by signal conditions, device settings, and permissions you control. Review your log; you can edit or delete any shift.

Don't use MileJar to fabricate records, and don't attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt, or misuse the app or its services.

We may update these terms as the app evolves. The effective date above will change when we do, and continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
